About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Northern Vermont is seeking experienced caregivers who are reliable, communicative, and compassionate to provide in-home care for older adults. The role involves building lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted member of their care team. This position is ideal for individuals who take their scheduled shifts seriously, arrive on time, communicate promptly, and are comfortable working independently. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience caring for older adults
- High School Diploma or GED
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid car insurance
- Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Three strong professional references
Nice To Haves
- Previous in-home caregiving experience
- Experience with personal care
- Experience working with clients with dementia or other age-related conditions
- Experience communicating with families and care teams
Responsibilities
- Companionship and meaningful engagement
