About The Position

The Guest Service Associate provides attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services to hotel guests. The role parks and retrieves guest vehicles safely and promptly, assists with luggage during arrival and departure, and helps guests with questions and requests. The position also explains parking rates and retrieval procedures, maintains accurate vehicle and claim-check records, and collects parking revenue when needed. Work is performed primarily outdoors, often for extended periods and potentially for the full shift, in conditions that may include extreme heat or cold. Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license for the state where applying, or within a commutable distance from that state, as applicable.
One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Ability to read and write standard English, comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic with three-digit numbers, including operations involving American currency; understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates based on elapsed time.
Ability to perform parallel parking.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extended periods of sitting or standing, walking, running, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly.
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in conditions that may include extreme heat or cold.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, coworkers, and clients; greet guests within five feet, use their last names, and welcome them with the salutation of the day.
Follow Towne Park phone etiquette and remain in designated areas when not completing tasks.
Park and retrieve vehicles slowly and cautiously; assist with bell services and luggage storage as needed; open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions.
Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested, and shuttle guests to approved locations.
Explain parking rates and vehicle retrieval procedures; issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before returning keys.
Complete and maintain vehicle ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim-check receipts; record vehicle locations on key tags after parking.
Calculate and collect vehicle revenue when needed.
