About The Position

The Hotel Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms to enhance the guest experience at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center. This role involves performing detailed cleaning tasks, ensuring rooms are well-stocked with amenities, maintaining cleanliness of hotel areas, and responding to guest concerns to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. The position also requires adherence to STAR Service standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform overall cleaning and sanitation of hotel rooms.
  • Ability to inspect guest rooms for left items and return lost and found items.
  • Ability to keep a clean and tidy workspace and cart rooms.
  • Ability to replenish room supplies to maintain par levels.
  • Ability to report missing items.
  • Ability to stock carts, count, fold, and carry linens.
  • Ability to remove disposable items from various hotel areas.
  • Ability to listen and respond to guest concerns in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to perform "knock & talk" on stayover rooms.
  • Ability to refer guests to appropriate departments for issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Performs the steps of STAR Service, which include: Smile and Greet, Take Care of Needs, Anticipate, Ask and Act, Remember to Thank and Close.
  • Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
  • Performs overall cleaning and sanitation of hotel rooms, including dusting, washing, vacuuming and mopping/wiping of walls, woodwork, carpets, and furniture according to checklist.
  • Rotates mattress encasements, pillow encasements, shower curtains and bedspreads according to schedule and guest needs.
  • Inspects guest rooms for left items and returns all lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office.
  • Keeps a clean & tidy workspace for their carts as well as the cart rooms.
  • Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, paper supplies, toiletries etc. to maintain par level of items going into the room by room type.
  • Reports any missing items from hotel rooms & turns into Lead or Supervisor.
  • Stocks cart, counts, folds and carries linens.
  • Removes disposable items from storerooms, lobby, office areas, and corridors.
  • Listens and responds to guest concerns in a timely fashion to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Does “knock & talk” on stayover rooms to verify guest needs & ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Refers guests to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
