Responsible for achieving and maintaining an exceptional level of cleanliness throughout the public areas of the hotel. This role involves cleaning furniture, glass, mirrors, elevators, planters, framed pictures, and other furnishings in public areas, including the lobby, pool, and restrooms. The porter also sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, and polishes floors, hallways, and stairs. Additionally, they remove trash and dirty linens, deliver special request items to guest rooms, maintain storeroom organization, and stock carts with supplies. The position assists in stripping linen and trash from departed guest rooms, cleans exterior doors and elevators, and checks all floors for trash and debris. The porter is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the employee elevator and utilizing specialized floor equipment. The role promotes an atmosphere of fun for guests and encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees by setting positive examples.
