About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is seeking a Hotel Manager who shares our passion for excellence and brings warmth and authenticity to every interaction. The Hotel Manager is a part of the hotel's Planning Committee and reports to the General Manager. The Hotel Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the hotel including the Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Spa & Wellness and Security.

Requirements

  • Seasoned HM/RM with a proven track record of operational excellence.
  • Strong guest-centric mindset for continued growth.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high-volume operation with multiple revenue streams and shared facilities with private residences.
  • Balancing operational discipline with innovation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pre-opening or renovation experience is highly preferable.
  • Background in Food & Beverage is highly preferable.
  • Priority focus on Forbes 10 star, and aiming for 15 to include Hotel, Spa and Café Boulud.
  • Strong leadership presence.
  • Experience to lead from the front and inspire a sizeable team, including both tenured and emerging Department Heads, while maintaining alignment and accountability across all functions in a dynamic, high-expectation environment.
  • Skilled in navigating a highly engaged, strong-minded ownership group.
  • Ability to deal with high expectation residents, board of directors and work closely with RDOR on operation harmony and synergies between the Hotel and Residences.
  • Mature, confident and assertive, yet humble with strong EQ.
  • Navigation of complex labour environments and effective change management.
  • High level of creativity with a refined sense of style and attention to detail.
  • Strong F&B understanding.
  • Strategic thinker with solid business acumen.
  • Ability to manage labor standards in conjunction with business/product objectives in mind, including brand objective, local positioning, owner objectives.
  • The ability to react and adjust to changing business environment and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the hotel including the Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Spa & Wellness and Security.

  • Lead the team in the General Manager's absence.
  • Share ownership's goal/vision and driven to be the best.
  • Ensure property remains the undisputed luxury leader in market.
  • Lead from the front and inspire a sizeable team, including both tenured and emerging Department Heads, while maintaining alignment and accountability across all functions in a dynamic, high-expectation environment.
  • Navigate a highly engaged, strong-minded ownership group.
  • Deal with high expectation residents, board of directors and work closely with RDOR on operation harmony and synergies between the Hotel and Residences.
  • Ensure the hotel experience remains distinctive and competitive with a focus on guest metrics (Forbes, GES, Michelin Keys etc….).
  • Support and align team on project management to deliver renovation and service products with outlet repositioning.
  • Influence and manage restaurant group relationship and concepts on property.
  • Drive performance, control costs, and optimize profitability with a long term/strategic outlook approach.
  • Manage labor standards in conjunction with business/product objectives in mind, including brand objective, local positioning, owner objectives.
  • React and adjust to changing business environment and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.
