About The Position

The President Abraham Lincoln Springfield, a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, is seeking a motivated Engineer to maintain the hotel’s physical safety and functionality while delivering memorable guest experiences. The position involves maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas; responding to guest service calls and team-member work orders; completing repairs and preventive maintenance; and documenting inspections and maintenance activities. The schedule must be flexible and include AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule that includes AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to guest calls and team-member work orders.
• Perform maintenance and repairs in areas including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and masonry.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of facilities and equipment and address identified needs.
• Document completed inspections and repairs and flag issues requiring further attention.
