About The Position

Homewood Suites by Hilton in Canton is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This hotel features 98 spacious suites with full kitchens and is conveniently located south of Boston, with easy access to public transportation and local attractions like Gillette Stadium and the Blue Hills Reservation. Guests can enjoy a self-serve beer and wine station and complimentary breakfast. The Homewood Suites is managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates, an award-winning hotel management company.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or a related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
• Valid driver's license.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repair work, including painting, wall covering, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Manage pool operations and maintain pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as per regulations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on all fixtures and equipment according to the schedule and record in log books.
• Perform indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Clean internal areas of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, and the parking lot.
