About The Position

Homewood Suites by Hilton in Canton, MA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This hotel features 98 spacious suites with full kitchens and is conveniently located near Boston, Gillette Stadium, Legacy Place, and the Blue Hills Reservation. The hotel is owned and managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates, an award-winning hotel management company. The role involves performing basic repair work, maintaining fixtures and equipment, servicing pool and spa areas, and ensuring the cleanliness of internal and external areas of the building.

Requirements

At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
Valid driver's license.
Open availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform basic repair work, including painting, wall covering, plumbing, and electrical work.
Operate and maintain pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as required by regulations.
Conduct preventative maintenance on all fixtures and equipment according to schedule and record in log books.
Clean internal areas of the building, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, storage areas, and the parking lot.
Upkeep of indoor and outdoor grounds.
