About The Position

Responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company and departmental standards while ensuring the security of guest rooms and their contents. The position includes cleaning assigned guest rooms, replenishing supplies and amenities, updating room status, completing departmental paperwork, reporting needed repairs, and responding efficiently to guest requests. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to kneel, reach, stoop, bend, scrub, sweep, vacuum, and dust.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a similar position is preferred.
Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals used in cleaning guest rooms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms according to company and departmental standards.
Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents.
Change bed linens and collect and replenish bath linens.
Dust hard surfaces and vacuum carpeted areas.
Clean bathroom sinks, counters, tubs and/or showers, toilets, and other bathroom surfaces.
Replenish room amenities such as tissues and soaps.
Stock the supply cart with supplies needed to clean guest rooms.
Update room status and complete required departmental paperwork.
Notify the housekeeping office of repairs needed in guest rooms.
Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
