About The Position

As the Hotel Housekeeping Manager for Grand Casinos, you will coordinate and direct activities for the Hotel Housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, Guest satisfaction, and efficient operations. The role also oversees Housekeeping and Laundry Department strategies, staffing, budgets, inventory, guest concerns, and the quality of external services. The manager supports and develops Associates, encourages communication and collaboration, maintains accurate financial records, and contributes to the team’s overall success. The position requires following relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations and securing a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Five years of hotel supervisory experience.
Must be able to secure a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
Ability to lead, manage, and motivate housekeeping and laundry teams.
Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, inventory, and budgets.
Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and presentation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to address and resolve Guest complaints, staff performance issues, and operational challenges.
Familiarity with hotel cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
Ability to train, guide, and develop team members.
Professional demeanor and appearance, with regular attendance and punctuality.
Willingness to adapt to changing situations and handle varied tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively; talk and hear.
Ability to see and adjust focus for close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision.
Ability to stand, walk, run, sit for up to 8 hours, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl.
Ability to handle objects, tools, and controls and reach with arms and hands.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments to ensure exceptional Guest service and satisfaction.
Ensure Guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities meet cleanliness standards and are prepared for occupancy promptly.
Maintain adequate inventory of linen, amenities, supplies, and chemicals.
Inspect and evaluate hotel areas to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
Monitor compliance with brand standards.
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, operating forecasts, monthly variance reports, and other required reports.
Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses while maximizing housekeeping and laundry profitability.
Address and resolve Guest complaints and take corrective action to prevent future issues.
Oversee the quality of work provided by external services and maintain communication to ensure compliance with hotel standards and procedures.
Manage staffing by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, and guiding Associates’ career development; coach, counsel, and terminate staff as needed.
Support and guide Housekeeping and Laundry Associates in their daily duties.
Maintain an open-door policy and encourage Associates to share ideas, voice concerns, and resolve conflicts.
Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in financial records, reports, and expenses.
Perform additional departmental duties as assigned.
Follow all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).
