About The Position

Cleans hotel rooms and common areas in accordance with franchise standards and required timeframes. The role includes maintaining guest rooms and public spaces, handling linens and supplies, keeping housekeeping carts and equipment organized, and following procedures that protect guest privacy and property security. The employee must use materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment safely; communicate room needs to the maintenance department; and follow company and property-specific policies, including dress code, safety, and performance standards. Employees are expected to maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

Ability to perform the listed housekeeping duties in accordance with franchise standards and required timeframes.
Ability to follow safety precautions and company and property-specific policies.
Ability to protect guest privacy and personal belongings by following key-control and security policies.
Ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to frequently climb or balance.
Ability to occasionally talk or hear and taste or smell.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Clean hotel guestrooms and public areas, including lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry hotel linens.
Clean rooms according to franchise standards and required timeframes, including making beds; dusting; washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills; cleaning floors; emptying wastebaskets; cleaning ashtrays; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; and cleaning bathroom fixtures and showers.
Replenish bathroom necessities, drinking glasses, writing supplies, and other supplies.
Move furniture, hang drapes, and roll carpets to meet franchise requirements.
Transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
Replace light bulbs.
Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment.
Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner.
Follow key-control and security policies to protect guests’ privacy and personal belongings while working in guestrooms.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to prevent injury, waste, damage, or accidents.
Communicate room needs to the maintenance department.
Follow KHC handbook policies and property-specific guidelines and standards, including dress code, safety, and performance standards.
Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
