About The Position

Donohoe Hospitality is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Hotel General Manager to lead operations and drive performance at one of our premier Marriott properties. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces innovation, and can balance exceptional guest experiences with strong financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who inspires teams, builds community connections, and creates a culture where associates feel empowered to succeed. A strong Food & Beverage background is highly preferred, along with a proven record of improving profitability, enhancing guest satisfaction, increasing market share, and developing high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of progressive hotel management experience, including at least two years serving as an Assistant General Manager, Hotel Manager, or Director of Operations with direct P&L accountability and cross-departmental oversight.
  • Previous hotel leadership experience with increasing levels of operational responsibility.
  • Proven success in driving financial performance and guest satisfaction metrics.
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating diverse teams.
  • Strong business acumen and operational decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience navigating hotel operations through periods of elevated change, such as renovations, brand transitions, or ownership shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall hotel performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop, manage, and achieve annual revenue and expense goals.
  • Analyze financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, forecasts, and payroll performance.
  • Lead revenue optimization strategies to maximize occupancy and room revenue.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to grow market share and strengthen brand presence.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retain exceptional hospitality talent.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel and actively engage with guests and associates.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement solutions that elevate the guest experience.
  • Build strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, tourism partners, and industry contacts.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee property maintenance, cleanliness, and operational excellence across all areas of the hotel.
  • Lead through challenges with confidence, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
