About The Position

A Pearl Floor Care Attendant reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager and is responsible for fostering the Pearl culture within the housekeeping department for Pearl Hospitality. The Hotel Floor Care Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of the hotel's flooring throughout guest and public areas. This position ensures that all floor surfaces, including carpets, tiles, hardwood, and other materials, are properly cleaned, polished, and maintained to the highest standards. The attendant contributes directly to the overall guest experience by providing a welcoming and hygienic environment that reflects the hotel's commitment to quality and care. This role requires attention to detail, consistent adherence to cleaning protocols, and the ability to promptly identify and address floor maintenance issues. Ultimately, the Hotel Floor Care Attendant supports the hotel's reputation by ensuring that all floor areas are safe, attractive, and well-maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in floor care, janitorial services, or a related cleaning role.
  • Ability to operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper use.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

  • Certification or training in floor care techniques or equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces using appropriate equipment and cleaning agents.
  • Operate floor care machinery such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect floors regularly to identify stains, damage, or safety hazards and report or address them as necessary.
  • Apply floor treatments, including waxing, polishing, and sealing, to preserve floor quality and appearance.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to schedule floor care activities with minimal disruption to guests.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and properly stored.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
