About The Position

The Door Attendant provides attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality service to guests. The role includes opening doors for guests entering and exiting the facility and helping guests with transportation to off-site locations. The attendant greets and assists guests, responds to inquiries, supports guest-room deliveries and requests, and shares information about facility amenities and local attractions. Work is performed primarily outdoors, potentially for the entire shift, and may involve exposure to extreme heat and cold. Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree.
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be at least 18 years old for insurance purposes and able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Must complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park.
Knowledge of customer service.
Ability to read and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including calculations with American money, and understand 24-hour and military time systems and rates applicable to elapsed time.
Ability to maintain accuracy and composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients; greet guests within five feet, use guests’ last names, and welcome them with the salutation of the day.
Follow proper Towne Park phone etiquette and remain in designated areas when not completing other tasks.
Assist guests with room changes and the delivery or pickup of items to guest rooms; open vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
Help guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested.
