The Hotel Barista is responsible for crafting and serving a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to hotel guests and customers. This role involves operating coffee-making equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and providing friendly, professional service to enhance the guest experience. The barista may also handle food items, process payments, and assist with inventory management. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent skills for engaging with guests and collaborating with team members seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
  • Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations on menu items.
  • Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas, in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Restock supplies, such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, and pastries, and assist with inventory tracking.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Upsell additional items, such as pastries or specialty drinks, to enhance guest experience and meet sales goals.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Adhere to hotel policies, brand standards, and food safety regulations.
