The Hotel and Casino Engineer is responsible for responding to guest repair requests, maintaining the upkeep and safety of the property, and performing various maintenance tasks. This role requires the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and identify and operate utility shut-off valves. The engineer will also be responsible for landscaping maintenance, basic computer skills for environmental controls, and working varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, general maintenance experience (preferably in a hotel), and the ability to work in environments with exposure to second-hand smoke and high noise levels. The role demands composure under pressure, meeting deadlines, and effective interaction with guests and colleagues. Physical requirements include prolonged periods of walking, standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various environmental factors.
