Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a full understanding of professional business ethics, and customer service excellence.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organization skills, manage time well, correctly prioritizes, and is flexible.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) and other financial software.
Knowledge of financial principles and regulations specific to the hospitality industry.
Experience with financial reporting, cost control, tax filings, and auditing.
Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial reports to management and working collaboratively with hotel staff and vendors.
Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, understandable manner to non-financial team members.
High attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that financial reports and transactions are error-free.
Ability to adapt to changes in the hotel’s operations, financial regulations, and industry trends.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost control or revenue enhancement.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborating with hotel management to develop annual budgets, track performance against these budgets, and provide regular forecasts to ensure financial goals are met.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate invoices for hotel services. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Payroll Management: Ensuring accurate processing of payroll, including overtime, benefits, and taxes, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Cash Flow Management: Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure the hotel has sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and to meet financial obligations.
Internal Controls and Compliance: Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Collaboration with Hotel Management: Working closely with the hotel’s management team to provide financial insights that help drive decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance profitability.
