The Hot Wound Coiling Operator is responsible for reviewing and interpreting shop orders, setup cards, and routing instructions prior to production. This role involves performing pre-setup tasks while equipment is running, staging materials, tooling, and mandrels. The operator will verify raw material specifications, load and manage materials using the bar handling system, and select, inspect, and prepare tooling components. Additionally, the operator will set up and adjust coiling equipment, monitor furnace temperatures and machine performance, apply treatments to tooling, conduct in-process inspections, and troubleshoot production issues. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is also a key responsibility.
