About The Position

JENNMAR Services is seeking Hot Shot Drivers for local and over-the-road routes in the Washington and Greene County area. These are full-time positions with competitive salary, opportunities for growth, and benefits available. Drivers operate medium-duty trucks with specialized trailers to transport equipment, less-than-truckload freight, and materials to company and customer job sites. They conduct vehicle inspections, follow company and DOT rules and regulations, secure loads, coordinate with dispatch and the Trucking Manager, oversee loading and unloading, report maintenance needs, maintain driving and delivery logs, and keep required certifications and credentials current.

Requirements

Valid/current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; the company provides assistance.
At least 1 year of experience.
Clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR check.
Valid driver's license with a CDL A endorsement.

Responsibilities

Operate medium-duty trucks with specialized trailers to haul equipment, less-than-truckload freight, and materials to company and customer job sites.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Drive and conduct operations according to company and DOT rules and regulations.
Ensure loads are properly secured to prevent damage or breakage in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Communicate with dispatch and the Trucking Manager as needed.
Oversee loading and unloading to prevent damage or breakage.
Notify the Trucking Manager or mechanics of required truck maintenance or repairs.
Maintain detailed delivery and driving logs according to DOT regulations.
Maintain valid certifications, a DOT medical card, and endorsements attached to a valid driver's license.
