About The Position

The Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high-volume restaurant, seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Full-Time Host position. We are looking for outgoing, energetic individuals to greet and seat our guests here at the restaurant. We offer a flexible schedule with daytime/nighttime hours and weekend hours. An ideal candidate will be a team player willing to work a flexible schedule. But above all make sure the guest enjoys their time at the Lambertville Station Restaurant!

Requirements

• High degree of service orientation, positive attitude and ability to multitask.
• Able to work independently as well as work as part of a team.
• Candidate must be dependable and reliable.
• Outstanding people skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and high-paced work environment.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Manage reservations
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
• Maintain a clean reception area
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Greet customers upon their departure
• Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
• Assist wait staff as needed
