About The Position
Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and organized Part-Time Host to be the first and last impression of our restaurant. If you love welcoming guests, keeping things running smoothly, and setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience, we want you on our team! Requirements
- A welcoming personality and a passion for great service.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to multitask and stay cool under pressure.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a hosting or customer service role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests with a warm smile and escorting them to their tables.
- Managing reservations, making sure every guest is seated comfortably and fairly.
- Keeping track of special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries—because every celebration matters!
- Answering phones with a friendly tone and helping guests with reservations and inquiries.
- Knowing the menu inside and out, including daily specials and ingredients.
- Ensuring the host stand is always covered and running like clockwork.
- Pulling out chairs and ensuring guests are seated with care.
- Checking in with departing guests to wish them well and hear about their experience.
- Passing along guest feedback and notifying a manager of any concerns.
