The hotel pool and rooftop bar, designed for seamless indoor and outdoor integration, allows guests to rest, relax and socialize with downtown Louisville as the backdrop. The essence of Louisville is woven throughout, with interior design that blends elements of the city’s heritage, culture, and character—felt everywhere from the hotel restaurants to a featured bourbon bar, and even the hotel’s speakeasy and bowling alley. Guests can enjoy a vibrant Falls City Market, a 20,000-square-foot urban food hall and grocer directly connected to the hotel lobby. Located at street level, this dynamic space transforms Liberty Street into a lively pedestrian destination. Host | Bob’s Steak and Chop House Overview: This position will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be familiar with Open Table.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10lbs without assistance.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have alcohol training certification (STAR).
  • Must have a Food Handlers Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior host experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
  • Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menus in front of guests.
  • Answer phone and record reservations for large parties.
  • Control high volume outside of restaurant.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well-being of guests.
  • Assist servers when needed.
  • Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.
