About The Position

FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Host to prepare beverages for guests in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar offers a timeless atmosphere with a modern edge, featuring regional, local, and sustainable foods cooked over an open wood fire. The restaurant has a 175-seat capacity, and the lounge has a 125-seat capacity, offering local brews, a selective wine list, and a modern cocktail program. Impeccable hospitality and service are paramount.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of restaurant experience, preferably in an upscale high volume environment.
  • Thorough understanding of safe and perceptive service.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to do basic math and handle cash.
  • Ability to work with Point of Sale systems.
  • Highly organized – demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.

  • Must present documents verifying identity and legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a courteous, efficient, and welcoming entrance to the restaurant or bar.
  • Greet and welcome guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Notify servers of new seats in their section to ensure guests receive immediate and proper attention.
  • Ensure a high level of visibility in the restaurant during the entire shift by remaining at the greeter station and periodically circulating through the restaurant to assist servers, respond to guest requests, and observe the efficiency of the food and beverage operation.
  • Elicit feedback from departing guests on their experience to continually improve the operation, increase the guest base, and maximize revenues.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive restaurant by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning, and side work duties.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and staff to ensure a steady flow of dining guests.
  • Maintain a list of waiting guests, know which server is covering each station, what tables are available, and how to seat guests alternately in each section.
  • Promptly greet arriving guests with a warm, sincere greeting.
  • Take and input reservations.
  • Answer the telephone according to standards.
  • Clean tables, chairs, and floor area as needed.
  • Polish silver and fold linens.
  • Assist the service team as necessary to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service.
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems.
  • Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis.
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.
