Requirements

Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment is highly preferred.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests in a personable and courteous manner.
Exceptional organization and time management abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with composure and grace.
A genuine passion for hospitality and an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or a related field is a plus.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in using reservation management software and other relevant technology is an asset.
Knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine pairing, and menu offerings is desirable.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression of the restaurant.
Manage the reservation system, accurately recording and organizing guest information, special requests, and table assignments.
Coordinate with the restaurant staff to ensure efficient table turnover and smooth seating arrangements.
Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage the seating queue effectively, striving to minimize guest waiting times.
Familiarize guests with the restaurant layout, including dining areas, bar, lounge, and restrooms.
Communicate effectively with the wait staff, kitchen team, and management to ensure a seamless flow of service.
Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner, striving to resolve issues promptly and exceed expectations.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, lobby, and waiting areas.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's menu offerings, specials, and wine list.
Display a strong knowledge of the local area, including attractions, events, and accommodations, to provide recommendations to guests when requested.
Uphold high standards of professionalism, appearance, and conduct, adhering to the restaurant's policies and procedures.
