About The Position
The Host welcomes guests to the restaurant and helps the service team deliver memorable hospitality. As the first and last point of contact for guests, the Host sets the tone for their visit and helps ensure their needs are met. The role is suited to someone interested in beginning a restaurant career and offers an opportunity to learn and grow at Chaminade Resort & Spa, a Pyramid Global Hospitality property in Santa Cruz, California. The position pays $18.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and location.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant area.
- Monitor open dining sections for empty and cleaned tables.
- Estimate guest wait times and monitor the waiting list.
- Ensure guests' needs are met while they wait.
- Answer the telephone and book reservations.
- Move tables together to accommodate large parties.
- Support the service team in providing memorable hospitality.
