The Host is responsible for guiding guests to their tables as directed by the maître d', interacting with guests, team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure gracious hospitality. This role involves anticipating and accommodating guest needs, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area, and complying with sanitation standards. The Host actively takes and processes reservations, assists with incoming calls and guest inquiries, and may be responsible for checking coats and belongings. Additionally, the Host assists with setting up the front desk, performs side-work, and opening/closing procedures, ensuring menus are ready and organized. They report any equipment damage, attend pre-service meetings and training sessions, and learn by observing and sharing knowledge. A positive and professional attitude is essential, along with demonstrating knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its partners. The Host works as part of a team, providing support to colleagues, and completing additional tasks as assigned.
