About The Position

The Host delights guests, serves as the face of the company, and helps ensure a smooth dining experience from arrival through departure. A typical shift includes greeting and escorting guests, managing wait times, answering phones, taking reservations, operating and troubleshooting reservation software, and staying current on menu options, specialties, and menu deviations.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, multitasking, and organization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and professional maturity.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• High-volume restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a genuine, delightful smile and interact with them as they arrive and leave to support a positive dining experience.
• Use guests’ names whenever possible.
• Identify special occasions and extend appropriate wishes.
• Escort guests to their tables and manage wait times.
• Answer phones and take reservations.
• Operate and troubleshoot reservation software.
• Stay current on menu options, specialties, and menu deviations.
• Support coworkers and work well with employees and managers.
• Use communication, multitasking, organization, attention to detail, and professional maturity in a fast-paced environment.
