About The Position

The Host is at the forefront of providing an exceptional member service experience and is an important member of the clinic team. The role assists members with checking in and supports their experience throughout the health center. Hosts need an in-depth knowledge of self-insured employer health insurance, including copays, co-insurance, and related benefits, to help members navigate their care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a customer service position.

Nice To Haves

Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPhone), ChromeOS, or client-branded Windows products such as Microsoft or HP.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative care team environment.
Proven organizational skills.
High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
Experience with multitasking, issue resolution, and conflict management.
Experience in a health care service delivery environment.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

Welcome members and handle interactions with a high level of hospitality and professionalism.
Deliver quality service and outcomes.
Accommodate special requests for member support when possible and promptly resolve member questions.
Assist with assigned projects and special provider or patient requests.
Support member check-in, including benefit eligibility files, check-in technology, and clinic workflows in the context of care delivery.
Process transactions required to begin or complete visits.
Use knowledge of employer-sponsored health insurance, copays, co-insurance, and benefit-specific requirements to support members.
Answer calls, schedule appointments, respond to emails, and follow up on member needs.
Collaborate with providers and staff to deliver a seamless, patient-centered care experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.
