The Host Person is responsible for ensuring the first and last impressions of guest encounters are of warmth, welcome, communication, positive energy, and spirit. This role involves greeting and acknowledging guests, tending to them courteously and in a timely manner, recognizing repeat guests, and welcoming them upon departure. The Host Person monitors the restaurant's workflow, escorts guests to tables, and ensures guest satisfaction by alerting management to any issues. They also manage reservations through Open Table, communicate business flow to the kitchen, and oversee station rotation for guest seating. Additionally, this role assists in identifying hotel and VIP guests, works with the Casino Host on comps, updates Open Table, and confirms reservations. Maintaining clean menus and wine lists, attractive displays, and providing exceptional customer service are key aspects of this position. The Host Person must work safely, follow company policies and procedures, and comply with recycling program standards. A sense of urgency is required, along with performing other duties as assigned.
