About The Position

The Host Person is responsible for providing excellence in service, greeting customers, providing accurate wait time estimates, maintaining a neat front-of-house environment, seating guests, taking drink orders, assisting with opening/closing tasks, learning the menu, rotating seating, answering phones, scheduling reservations, relaying guest feedback, collecting payments, and performing other duties as assigned. This role requires reporting to work on time, in proper uniform, with a positive attitude.

• Must report to work on time, as scheduled, in proper uniform with nametag, and with a positive and cooperative attitude ready to serve the guests.
• Must be able to make proper change and close out the check.
• Held accountable for cash drawer and all variances.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing excellence in service.
• Greet customers as soon as they walk up
• Provide patrons with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
• Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
• Seat guests and take initial drink orders as needed to ensure ideal speed of service
• Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
• Learn food and beverage menu
• Rotate seating between different stations to ensure even workloads for waitstaff.
• Answer phones and schedule reservations with large parties.
• Relays any guest compliments and complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
• Collects proper payment for paid show.
• Checks reservations and seats guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Reports to work on time, as scheduled, in proper uniform with nametag, and with a positive and cooperative attitude ready to serve the guests.
• Cash: makes proper change and closes out the check. Held accountable for cash drawer and all variances.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
