About The Position

The Host Person is responsible for welcoming guests, managing seating, and contributing to the overall dining experience. This role requires a professional attitude, knowledge of the menu and promotions, and the ability to handle guest inquiries and seating arrangements efficiently. The position operates within a 24/7 casino environment and requires adherence to company policies and service standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to push, pull, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, twist and climb up and down stairs.
  • Ability to learn and utilize computerized reservation/seating/paging system.
  • Must be able to learn and operate a Point-of-Sale system.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
  • Comply fully with the company’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
  • Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome each guest with a smile and personalized greeting.
  • Acknowledge each guest as they are leaving with genuine appreciation.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Maintain a businesslike, professional attitude at all times.
  • Have a working knowledge of the menu, promotions, special events, and other pertinent information.
  • Seat guests in such a manner that they receive the best service possible.
  • Answer telephone inquiries as per company policies.
  • Help bussers set and clear tables.
  • Contribute to general housekeeping in areas such as the floor in foyer, windows/glass in front, host stand area, menus and menu covers.
  • Be knowledgeable of the company’s internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Lift to 25 lbs.
