About The Position

The Host/Hostess helps ensure members enjoy their visit to Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club by providing professional, welcoming service, managing the flow of seating, learning and using members’ names, exceeding expectations, and working as part of a team. The role also maintains an organized podium and clean menus. The schedule varies and includes weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Professional and welcoming demeanor.
Ability to learn and use members’ names, assist with requests, manage seating flow, and work as a team player.
Ability to use appropriate equipment and follow safety procedures.
Compliance with uniform, name tag, and grooming expectations.

Responsibilities

Arrive punctually and consistently be on time for work.
Work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
Arrive in a clean, crisp, well-maintained uniform with a name tag, and maintain a professional, welcoming demeanor.
Maintain clean menus.
Greet members and guests promptly with a smile.
Assist members and guests with requests and control the flow of seating in the dining room.
Complete all side work thoroughly at the beginning and end of each shift.
Answer phones professionally and courteously.
Accurately take reservations for the dining room and club events.
Confirm lunch and dinner reservations.
Maintain an organized podium.
Become proficient with appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
Maintain clean, appropriately styled hair, subject to management approval.
