About The Position

Culinaire is hiring an on-call Host/Hostess at Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. The position is responsible for seating guests in the dining room and handling customer-service situations. The Host/Hostess helps create an enjoyable dining experience and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment. No previous experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $13.00 per hour. The schedule is on call, Sunday through Saturday, with hours that may vary; further details are provided during the interview.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet guests warmly and direct them to tables based on availability or requested seating arrangements.
• Help create an enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and associates.
• Communicate effectively, work well with others, and demonstrate flexibility and patience.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality concerning personal or medical information shared.
• Supervise dining-room food-service associates to help ensure customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Help train new food-service team members.
• Supervise closing of the assigned dining room and ensure side work and station setup are completed properly.
• Know emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests in the event of a fire or other emergency.
• Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food-handling and sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment as needed, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff in other departments to perform job duties and support special events or functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
