About The Position

The Host/Hostess welcomes guests and helps provide an exceptional dining experience at Little Palm. The role takes and confirms reservations, seats guests, responds to inquiries, and communicates clearly and efficiently with front-of-house staff and leadership. The successful candidate is organized, quick-thinking, positive, personable, and attentive to guests’ needs while helping maintain smooth restaurant service flow.

The position also involves maintaining the restaurant reservation system and guest notes, completing opening and closing duties as needed, and keeping the environment neat and professional. Prior restaurant experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly while adhering to service standards.
• Monitor guest seating and plan ahead to meet guest and restaurant needs and maximize service flow.
• Use and accurately maintain the restaurant reservation system, including table status, rotations, cover counts, and guest notes.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and crisp environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that contributes to the restaurant’s ambiance and presentation.
• Take and confirm reservations, seat guests, and communicate clearly with front-of-house staff and leadership.
