About The Position
Thornblade Club is a private golf and country club in Greer, South Carolina, seeking a hospitality-minded Host/Hostess to provide members and guests with an exceptional dining experience. The role involves welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff, and assisting with dining-room tasks. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.–close; actual hours may vary based on seasonal events. Background and drug screening are required for employment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in fine dining or a restaurant is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a point-of-sale system.
- Background screening and drug screening are required for employment.

Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests upon arrival.
- Take and confirm reservations and receive to-go orders.
- Manage guest flow into dining and bar areas and provide accurate wait times when appropriate.
- Escort and seat members and guests in the dining or bar area according to their preferences.
- Liaise between the kitchen and dining area and relay messages to support staff and managers as needed.
- Work with serving staff to address members’ and guests’ needs throughout the dining experience and support high-quality service.
- Assist dining-room staff with setting and clearing tables as needed.
- Perform other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor and professional staff.
