About The Position

The Hospitality Attendant welcomes and assists guests in the breakfast and lobby areas and maintains quality, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout assigned work. The role is responsible for setting up, serving, maintaining, and breaking down the breakfast bar, including preparing and replenishing specified food items and courteously assisting guests in accordance with departmental standards. The attendant also handles guest complaints to support guest satisfaction, follows food-handling, security, and other safety procedures, assists with scheduled inventories, and follows maintenance programs and cleaning schedules. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.
• Food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet, and interact with guests in the breakfast and lobby areas.
• Set up, serve, maintain, and break down the breakfast bar line.
• Prepare specified breakfast-bar food items, replenish food, and assist guests with food service courteously and efficiently in accordance with departmental quality standards and specifications.
• Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness standards throughout daily assignments.
• Observe house rules, safety rules, food-handling procedures, and security procedures.
• Assist with inventories as scheduled.
• Follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
