About The Position

The Hospitality Attendant will be responsible for welcoming, greeting, and interacting with guests in the breakfast and lobby areas in a friendly and professional manner. This role involves setting up, maintaining, serving, and breaking down the breakfast bar according to hotel standards, as well as preparing designated food items and ensuring the breakfast area remains fully stocked and presentable throughout service. The attendant will also replenish food, beverages, and supplies as needed, assist guests courteously and efficiently with breakfast service, and address any questions or concerns. Handling guest complaints and working to ensure guest satisfaction is a key part of this role. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and overall quality throughout daily assignments, and following all hotel policies, including house rules, safety procedures, food-handling requirements, and security procedures, are essential. The position also includes assisting with inventory counts and related duties as scheduled, following established maintenance programs and cleaning schedules, and being available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests, management, and coworkers.
  • Friendly, positive attitude with strong guest-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements associated with breakfast service and maintaining the breakfast area.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities, attractions, and points of interest appropriate for hotel guests is preferred.
  • Food safety certification is preferred.
