About The Position

This role involves supporting the catering operation by ensuring consistent and high-standard service delivery across all events. The Hospitality Assistant will provide excellent customer service, maintain high standards of hygiene and appearance, and perform clearing and cleaning duties. The position also includes assisting with food storage and contributing to the organization's sustainability objectives. The role requires flexibility to assist in front-of-house duties during busy periods.

Requirements

Excellent time keeping and reliability
Self-initiative, well organised and ability to work on his/her own
A can-do attitude and flexible approach to work.
Excellent attention to detail and consistency
General knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Understanding of basic food hygiene and HACCP
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Preparation of service area and/or service points.
Ensure service delivery is consistent and to the highest standard across all events.
Provide excellent customer service with a dedicated and helpful approach.
Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards at all times.
Clearing and cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
Correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
Assist in the service within the whole Catering department as requested, including front of house duties during busy periods.
Contribute to the organisation’s sustainability objectives.
