About The Position

Part-time employment opportunity to work at the Macdonald Campus faculty club. This position performs setup of tables in the dining room and conference room, takes food orders from guests/members, provides information on menu items, and serves food and beverages to tables. The role also acts as a liaison between guests and kitchen staff. Responsibilities include general cleaning duties such as dishes, fridges, dishwashers, counters, coffee equipment, laundering of table cloths and linen, cleaning of floors and washrooms. The assistant will also help the supervisor with restocking inventory in the kitchen and fridges, and take lunch reservations over the phone.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food services industry.
• Good physical stamina.
• Interpersonal skills and excellent customer service approach.
• Capacity to multi-task.
• Willingness to be flexible and handle "what needs to be done" as member of a small unit.
• Ability to exercise cooperation within a small team.
• High School Diploma with one year of relevant experience in the field of work.
• English communication (verbal and written) at level 3 (advanced) on a scale of 0-4.

Nice To Haves

• May be required to work the occasional week-end (one day) to accommodate a larger private event.
