Hospitality and Special Event Sales
About The Position
Arc Broward is seeking a Hospitality and Special Event Sales professional to oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of events, while maintaining exceptional overall service. This role requires mandatory service experience in hospitality and involves participating in weekly BEO meetings with the catering team, maintaining an adequate roster of servers and bartenders, and ensuring catering deliveries meet customer guidelines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and initiative in managing event setup, execution, and breakdown, with the ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
Requirements
- Mandatory service experience in hospitality required.
- 3+ years in a similar Food Service/Events lead role required.
- Experience using TripleSeat or other catering/event management software.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, can be substituted for prior service manager experience.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of events.
- Maintaining exceptional overall service.
- Participating in weekly BEO meetings with the catering team to review and coordinate upcoming events.
- Maintaining an adequate roster of servers, bartenders, etc.
- Scheduling and supervising servers and bartenders for events.
- Ensuring catering deliveries are to the customer’s guideline and determined event details.
- Demonstrating the ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
- Demonstrating exceptional leadership, communication, and initiative while overseeing event set up, execution and breakdown.
