About The Position

Jefferson Health is seeking compassionate, patient-focused Per Diem Hospitalists to join its Hospital Medicine team in Abington. This flexible opportunity is suited to physicians looking to supplement their schedules or work in a supportive, dynamic environment without a full-time commitment. The role provides inpatient medical care and involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, responding to acute situations, documenting care in EPIC, and communicating with patients, families, and care team members.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Current Abington medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
Active DEA and CDS registrations.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitalist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes.
Respond to acute medical situations and emergencies on the floor.
Document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members.
