About The Position

Providence Medical Center is seeking an experienced, board-certified Hospitalist to join its Hospital Medicine team as a daytime practitioner. The role provides inpatient care in a collaborative, physician-led environment focused on clinical excellence and patient-centered care. The Hospitalist will also supervise advanced practice providers and share backup call responsibilities for nighttime NP coverage.

The position follows a 7-on/7-off block schedule, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 12-hour shifts. This position is not open to new graduates. Providence Medical Center is located in Kansas City, Kansas, and is a member of Prime Healthcare.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine.
• At least two years of post-residency hospitalist experience.
• MD or DO degree.
• Unrestricted Kansas medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current DEA registration.
• BLS or ACLS certification.
• Must be comfortable working as a supervising physician for advanced practice providers.
• New graduates are not eligible.

Responsibilities
