Hospitalist Post-Acute Physician
About The Position
The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Physician to join its Medical Department in New Hyde Park, New York. Working alongside the Medical leadership team, the physician delivers appropriate, adequate, compassionate, and high-quality medical care to residents in coordination with other members of the healthcare team. This is a clinical leadership role offering the opportunity to contribute to a healthcare organization known for resident and patient care. Parker is a nonprofit healthcare facility offering sub-acute and short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, nursing home care, certified home health care, and community hospice services.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience as an attending physician in a hospital with a geriatric population or in a nursing home environment.
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- New York State Board certification in a primary care specialty.
- Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine.
- Eligibility for hospital admitting privileges.
- Clean and active license to practice medicine in New York State.
- Proficiency in SigmaCare or similar Electronic Medical Record software.
Responsibilities
