About The Position
Hospitalist – Community Health Partners / OSU Physicians Hocking Valley Community Hospital | Logan, Ohio Community Health Partners is seeking a Hospitalist to join the inpatient team at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, a community-based facility serving a tourist and community patient population in southeast Ohio. Position Highlights Schedule: 7 on / 7 off with 24 hour responsibility Typical workload averages 8–10 hours per day Some weekend coverage required Patient Volume: ~3 admissions per day Beds: 16 total (med/surg, observation, swing) Staffing Ratios: Med/Surg: 5:1 SCU/ICU: 2:1 Adult inpatient care including ICU coverage Required procedures: intubation, central lines, and critical care Ideal Candidate Comfortable practicing in a rural hospital setting Collaborative, respectful of medical staff, and supportive of administration Committed to high-quality, community-focused care
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
- Eligible for or holding an active Ohio medical license
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- ACLS and BLS certification required (ATLS preferred, if applicable)
- Experience in adult inpatient hospital medicine
- Comfortable managing ICU level patients in a community hospital setting
