About The Position
UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Hospitalist NP or PA to join our team in Sioux City, IA. UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board Certified
- 1 year of APP inpatient experience required
- Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- 17 clinical shifts per month
- 10 hour rounding shift – 7a-5p
- 10 hour swing shift – 2p-12a
- TeleHospitalist service utilized for overnight coverage
- No night shifts, no call, no procedures and no codes
- Average census of 12 patients per APP
- Block scheduling
