About The Position
This role serves as the clinical lead for the hospitalist team, providing day-to-day operational oversight and clinical support. The position involves comprehensive inpatient medical care, including managing admissions, daily rounding, and discharges. The lead will also support high-quality, patient-centered care and throughput initiatives, and collaborate with hospital leadership and various committees. This is a leadership position with specific administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for or licensed to practice in Indiana
- Prior hospitalist experience required
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients
- Manage admissions, daily rounding (med surg and CCU), and discharges
- Provide ICU procedures and medical management with pulmonology/critical care physician support
- Coordinate care with specialists, nursing, and care management teams
- Support high-quality, patient-centered care and throughput initiatives
- Serve as the clinical lead for the hospitalist team
- Provide day-to-day operational oversight and clinical support to hospitalists
- Assist with onboarding of new providers
- Participate in quality improvement, utilization management, and patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing, and medical staff committees
- Support implementation of clinical protocols, policies, and best practices
