About The Position

The Acute Care Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers comprehensive inpatient care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Working in an acute care hospital setting, the APP is responsible for managing hospitalized patients, including performing assessments, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating treatment plans, and facilitating safe discharges. The APP provides high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on continuity, efficiency, and patient-centered outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program with an advanced degree (master's or doctorate) degree from an accredited nursing program or has completed an accredited Physician Assistant degree program.
  • Must hold an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Indiana.
  • Must have two (2) years acute care clinical experience.
  • Must be nationally certified in Advance Practice Specialty with recent clinically related experience in specialty.
  • Be able to obtain prescriptive privileges required and the ability to maintain current privileges (to be allowed prescriptive authority) and exercise a well written collaborative practice agreement with a designated physician submitted to the State of Indiana Nursing board before prescriptive authority responsibilities will be performed.
