About The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join an employed position within Ascension St. Vincent’s flagship location. Practice at a premier Level 1 trauma center and 800+ bed flagship facility, covering diverse adult units including the burn center and the new brain and spine center. Manage a manageable daily census of 15–16 patients, focusing on high-quality rounding while a dedicated admissions team handles intake. Join a massive, growing team of over 80 providers working within 22–23 physician teams daily, ensuring a supportive peer network. Benefit from a closed ICU model supported by dedicated intensivists, allowing you to focus on specialized medical floors. The 7-on/7-off schedule (including 14 jeopardy days) is designed to allow for two 2–3 week breaks throughout the year. While procedures are not forced, you have the opportunity to maintain or learn skills in a supportive environment. Utilize the Sunrise EMR system to coordinate care across the medical group. Engage with multiple residency and fellowship programs, fostering an environment of continuous learning. Benefit from an AMG employed contract with eligibility for public student loan forgiveness (PSLF).

Requirements

  • Must be MD/DO board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal Medicine Focus: While rare exceptions are made for FM, the team strongly prefers IM-trained candidates.
  • New Grads Welcome: We are open to considering motivated new graduates looking to start their careers in a high-volume academic environment.
  • Experience: Previous hospitalist experience is considered a plus.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
