About The Position

The Advanced Practice Hospital Nurse or Hospital Physician Assistant will work under the direct supervision of highly skilled Oncology Physicians and follow proper hospital guidelines. The scope of responsibility includes serving as an expert practitioner, educator/teacher, care manager, consultant, nurse researcher, and nurse leader. The role may include prescribing medication, providing emergency care, and referring patients to an appropriately licensed physician. The position supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Program, including its Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing education program.
Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist or Physician Assistant program.
RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
Current CPR certification.
Knowledge of managing the physiological and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
