About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company. You will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist.
• If work experience is not available, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
